result task 3

Outer Space

Here is our (Christopher, Henrik and myself) result of task 3. The whole class desided to go for an outer space theme for this task, and our group got the rythm theme aswell. We used turning wheel, sound-sensor and infrared-sensor to make kind of a cockpit. The child will be playing by using a panel (a really old telephone), voice and drumming, distance of hand and a handle to control the rythm. The sound is created in MAX, where Henrik did a excellent job, and I, to be honest, didn't understand much. No wonder perhaps, because it looked like this: And here is what the others made:

One of the weaknesses with the cockpit that we created, was that while developing it, we were so into the technology and sensor, that we kind of forgot about the whole embodied play. The children playing our game, would not use their body and movement as much as the other games, and the cockpit might be a bit to complicatet for a little child.
